Q: Are there step-by-step instructions on how to use the
Liberator version 5.6? |
| |
Attention: If you are plugging your
iPod into a new or reformatted computer then iTunes will
ask you to associate your iPod with the new computer. *Do
not* agree to this prompt because
it will erase the music from your iPod. Also, make sure
that your iPod is set for manual update before plugging
your iPod into your computer.
A: First download the program from
our website www.zeleksoftware.com. Properly install and
open this program. Then press the enter registration button
and enter your registration information (if you have purchased
the program). Note that you can try the program for free
so if you have not purchased the program simply press the
buy later button. If you have your iPhone or iPod plugged
in then the Music Liberator will automatically recognize
your iPhone or iPod and start to list your songs. To copy
songs and playlists simply select the playlists or songs
you want to copy, press the copy button, and select a file
location to copy to. Now watch the progress as your music
files are copied to your computer. When your copying is
done go to the iTunes menu "File"->"Library"->"Import
Playlist" and select the file "Import_Into_iTunes.txt"
in the "iPod Music Liberator" folder where you copied your
music. After you import your music, open iTunes to see all
of your music, playlists, and ratings restored! |

Q: Why haven't
I received my registration information?
|
| |
A: Your
registration information will be emailed to you when your
payment clears, which usually takes less than one hour. If
you have waited one hour there could be a few reasons that
you have not received your registration information: 1)Your
PayPal email address is old and you no longer use it. 2)Your
spam filter is inadvertently filtering the email with your
registration information. If you are sure that your listed
PayPal email address is correct and your spam filter is not
filtering the registration email then please contact us. |
Q: Will the Music
Liberator harm the music on my iPhone or iPod? |
| |
A: No.
The Music Liberator does not have the ability to delete or
alter any information on your iPhone or iPod. This ensures
that the information on your iPhone and iPod will remain safe
and secure. |
Q: It says my registration
information is invalid, what should I do? |
| |
A: Take
special care to enter your registration information exactly.
It may help to copy your registration information and then
paste it into the appropriate fields. There should not be
any leading or trailing white spaces. |
Q: The iPod Music
Liberator cannot find my iPod, what is wrong? |
| |
A: Your iPod must be enabled for disk use in order for the iPod Music Liberator to be able to find yoru iPod. To enable your iPod for disk use, go to iTunes and click once on your iPod in the source menu on the left. After you click on your iPod you should see a window appear to the right, where you should select the summary tab. Once you are under the Summary tab then you will see the check box to enable disk use. After you have checked the proper box, you need to press the apply button in the bottom right hand corner of iTunes. |
Q: Can I copy music
from my Windows formatted iPod to my Mac? |
| |
A: Yes.
If your iPod is formatted for Windows then both your PC and
Mac can recognize your iPod and the Liberator can copy your
music. You will need the Mac version of the Liberator to accomplish
this. |
Q: Can I copy music
from my Mac formatted iPod to my PC? |
| |
A: Yes,
with a little work. There are two possible solutions depending
on your situation.
1) You have all of your music safely stored on your Mac
If this is the case, format your iPod for Windows. Plug your
newly formatted iPod in your Mac (yes it will recognize it)
and put your music back on your iPod. Now plug your iPod into
your PC and use the Liberator to copy your music.
2) You no longer own or have access
to your Mac
If this is the case then there are a few options because
PCs will not naturally recognize
Mac formatted hard drives. A) You could buy a program to
access your Mac formatted hard drive on your PC B) Find
a friend with a Mac and try option 1 mentioned above.
